Graduated from Middle East Technical University, Başak Akkoyunlu worked with well known architects in Turkey, in different scales of project including airports, hotels, marinas, residences.

Between 2008-2013 projects which she was the chief architect at EAA-Emre Arolat Architects awarded in Dubai City Scape Awards and WAF in different categories.

​

She was awarded by Chicago Atheneum  with “Europe 40 Under 40” prize in 2012.

​​

She was visiting instructor at Architectural Department of Izmir Institute of Technology 

between 2014-2016.

​

Since 2013 she is continuing her practice in İzmir Alaçatı.
